BONSAI AT THE HONG KONG FLOWER SHOW 2008

Every year the Hong Kong Flower Show held in Victoria Park is a spectacular event for lovers of everything horticultural. The display includes clusters of orchids and carpets of flowering plants such as heartsies and large 'fields' of tulips. This year of course being 2008 there were magnificent giant topiaries including the Olympic mascots all done in an array of annuals and perennials. The Dragons Head to the right is a magnificent achievement.

This year there was a spectacular display of Bonsai. If you are a bonsai enthusiast then this page is for you.

Old favourites like Ficus, Lantana, Loropetalum, Raphiolepsis make hardy bonsais, even Murraya and Citrus
