TJ is one of the Founders of Thais4Life .... www.thais4life.com. Shown with Somporn -a Thai lad - and his Mother, whose life has been saved by Thais4Life since his Kidney Transplant Operation in July, 2002. Even today - 3 years later in 2005 - Somporn depends on Thais4Life for his daily anti-rejection medicines - costing 13,500 Thai baht (or US$ 355.00) monthly - All provided from donations worldwide by caring donors via the Thais4Life website.  He now happily works in a major Thailand hotel as a Receptionist - using his English language and accounting/computer training skills he learned from school classes provided him by Thais4Life during his 3 years post-transplant operation recovery periods. A Thai's salary is about 6,000 Thai baht a month - so it is impossible for a Thai like Somporn to work and pay for the needed medicines. Thanks to Thais4Life - He Lives! TJ was named "Team Leader" of the 1996 Men's USA Olympic Team Handball Team....Atlanta 1996. TJ also served as Treasurer 1995-96 of the USA Team Handball Federation and as a South Regional Coach for 5 US Olympic Festivals in 1989, 1990, 1991, 1993 and 1994. From 1997-2000 TJ served on the USA Olympic Committee's "Sports Med 2000" Committee.

TJ is a 1965 graduate of the University of San Diego, CA and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. He served as a First Lieutenant in the California National Guard.

 

TJ was elected and re-elected as a School Board Member for the South Bay Union School District in South San Diego, CA - where he served as the School Board President for 3 of his 7 years of school board service.

 

TJ was the first Executive Director for Boys Clubs in Imperial Beach and San Ysidro, CA; and then served as a Member of the National Staff of Boys & Girls Clubs of America as a Field Services Representative and as Director of Olympic Sports in a youth services career spanning 14 years.

 

TJ was a successful Realtor and Businessman for 15 years in San Diego County, CA and Oklahoma City, OK.

 

TJ is proud of his 2 Sons and 2 wonderful Grandchildren.
