September - Annual Dlnner, Tuesday, 6.00 p.m. 6:30 p.m.
Guest
speaker, Mr Dugald Campbell, former owner of historic 'Traralgon Park' and
descendant of mid 1800s settlers to the district, will talk about the History
of the Campbell family. Dugald will be piped in by David Hastie.
To
be held at the Grand Junction Hotel, corner of Princes Highway and Franklin
Street, Traralgon. A three-course meal will be offered with a choice of pumpkin
or minestrone soup as a starter; roast chicken or grilled fish with vegetables
for main course; and apple pie or pavlova for dessert.
The
cost will be $30 per person. Please book your seat no later than Wednesday, 6th

Monday
Afternoons, between 3:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Commencing
22nd May and each subsequent Monday afternoon on the Statewide Drive show, A.B.C.
regional radio 100.7 F.M. some time between 3:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m 'Drive'
presenter, Kathy Bedford, will speak with T.D.H.S. representative, Jenny Hammet,
about prominent Gippsland families and dynasties.
The
first show will be about Miss Eva West M.B.E. and her father, Walter West. Miss
West contributed 50 years of outstanding service to local Government. Other
families/dynasties to be featured in further programmes include the Dahlsen,
Liddiard and Treasure families.
Working
Bees
Reminder - Working bees will be held as usual in our rooms on the 2nd and 4th Monday afternoon of each month, excluding the month of January and public holidays. Everyone is welcome.
