th September – Tuesday, 6:30 p.m. for 7:00 p.m.Monthly meeting guest speaker: Mr Damien Tripodi will speak on The History of Italian Settlement and the Arrival of Migrants in Australia after WW2.
This will be the night of our Annual Dinner, to be held at the Grand Junction Hotel Function Room.

th October – Sunday, 8:00 a.m.Excursion: departing Traralgon at 8:00 a.m. from 11 Breed Street carpark (outside the TDHS rooms in the Kath Teychenne Centre). The excursion will visit the All Time Antiques and Clock Museum ($4), which features one of the largest clock collections in Australia; Radin Studio and Egg Craft Gallery (gold coin), which houses a collection of paintings, sculptures and miniatures of Australian flora and fauna that are available to view and buy; and the Jolly Jumbuck Country Craft Centre (free), which has woollen garments and assorted craft products and where the process from fleece washing to finished jumpers may be seen.
Morning tea and lunch will be supplied by Hazelwood Coach Lines. Afternoon tea will be courtesy of the Bairnsdale Historical Society and held at their Historical Museum. The cost of the trip is $25 and includes travel, morning tea and lunch. A deposit of $10 is required when booking, which can be made by phoning Thelma Mayze 5174 4762.

th October – Tuesday, 7:30 p.m.Monthly meeting guest speaker: Mrs Pat Still, 1st Lay Principal of St Michael’s Primary School, Traralgon, will talk about one hundred years of Catholic education in Traralgon.
Former students, Mrs Win Frankland, Mrs Eileen Downey and Mrs Joan Oates will recall student days from 1920.

th November – Tuesday, 7:30 p.m.Monthly meeting guest speaker: Mrs Marj O’Brien, former superintendent of the Traralgon branch of the Red Cross, will talk about the Red Cross.

th December – Tuesday, 7:30 p.m.Monthly meeting guest speaker: Mr Roger Vanstan will talk about the history of the Ulysses Motor Cycle Club. Entertainment will be by ‘The Andrew Sisters’ (Mavis Fraser, Joan Oates and Eileen Downey), accompanied by a soloist, who will present songs of yesteryear.
Working Bees
Reminder – Working bees will be held as usual in our rooms on the 2nd and 4th Monday afternoon of each month, excluding public holidays. Everyone is welcome.
