October 1904

Dr T. A. McLean (Late Resident Superintendent of the Geelong Hospital). Begs to notify the people of Traralgon and District that he has succeeded to the practice of Dr W.A. Spring, and may be consulted daily at the residence formerly occupied by Dr Spring, Hotham Street, Traralgon; and at Toongabbie every Friday, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m
The Empire Biograph Entertainers visited Traralgon last weekend, and gave their splendid entertainment of moving pictures in the Mechanics Hall..
Steady rain set in this morning. Dry winds have prevailed of late and if we get a good fall now there will be a prospect of a good spring..
A euchre party held on Friday night last was a great success, and the funds of the Mechanics’ Institute will benefit to the extent of £6.

November, 1904

Traralgon Show - so great was the stream of entries, both personally made and by post, that it was found impossible to make up the list until last evening, and it is still incomplete. Mr McKinnell states that the total is 1700 which is larger than at any previous show, and this fact speaks volumes
The well-known "Ferney" estate, the property of the late Mr T.C. Hull, near Toongabbie, has been purchased by Mr John Widdis, of Flynn’s Creek, but the price has not been disclosed.
The first motor car yet seen in Traralgon made its appearance in the town on Tuesday. The machine was driven by Mr Hall who is visiting Morwell. Rev. Father Colman and Dr Spring (late of Traralgon) were passengers in the run from Morwell, which was covered in 22 minutes. The car left at the same time as the mid-day passenger train, and arrived in Traralgon before it.

December, 1904

The directors of the Toongabbie Butter Factory Company have decided to pay at the rate of 7½ pence per lb. for the butter value of the milk for the past month.
Tenders are invited by the Railway Department for the erection of engine sheds at Traralgon.
At Traralgon Police Court on Tuesday last, James Rogers was granted a carrier’s licence
Over 500 milk cows have been sent from Boisdale during the past week, owing to the drought.
