| A procession and Gymkhana were held at the Show Grounds on Saturday, 29th January, in air of War Memorial Funds. |
February |
| Mrs. Layton, mother of traders "Layton Bros." of Traralgon, died at Brighton in February. Born in Slough, England, in 1847, she came to Victoria in 1853. |
| Traralgon Traders held a picnic at the "Sandbank" for the second time, on 19th February. |
March |
| In 1921 a sewerage scheme for Traralgon was discussed. |
| Mrs. Janet Fick's house was completed on 21st March, at the north end of Church Street (still there today) by Carey & Son. Electric wiring was installed for the "great day" when electric lighting would be available. |

| Anzac Day and Labour Day were celebrated on the same day. |
| A German machine gun was handed over to Tyers with a local celebration on 19th April, and Callignee unveiled a machine gun on Anzac Day. |

| A Public Meeting was called by the State Organizer, Mr. C.W. Game, for Tuesday 3rd May, to form the Traralgon Boy Scouts. |
| Traralgon Fire Station Foundation Stone was laid on 6th May and a further £1,400 was required to complete the building. |
| Empire Day was held on Tuesday, 24th May and an Honor Board was unveiled at the Grey Street State School. The children sang "The Best School of All" when 166 former pupils attended in memory of 32 pupils who paid the Supreme Sacrifice. |

| (I don't know where Brigham Young wished to settle in Gippsland in 1873, but he then had 187 children and stipulated that he required 320 acres for each child.) |

| Shire Council approved "Lovers' Lane"from Loch Park Road to Mabel Street, during July. |
| The Gippsland Farmers' Journal became "pink" on 15th July. |
| 70 ex-Diggers attended another Peace Dinner, 19th July. |
| Mr. J.T. Thompson was voted new President of R.S.L. and Mr. A.E. Thomas, Vice President. |
| A large meeting was held by Church of England on 18th July to raise funds for a new church. The old church was bought by H.M.Campbell for £105. |

| .Five trees had to be removed in Kay Street to allow construction of the Traralgon War Memorial. |
| Alex Lancaster returned to become Manager of the Traralgon Butter Factory, in September. |

| A demonstration of Maypole dancing was given by 128 scholars at the Showgrounds on Saturday 8th October. |
| Mr. F. Burnett, (father of (Sir) Macfarlane Burnett) died at Terang in October. For 17 years he was Manager of Commonwealth Bank of Australia in Traralgon. He was born in the South of Scotland. He had recently come back to Traralgon, prior to retirement, and bought Mr. H. King's house in Reservoir Road, hoping to retire there. |

| Traralgon held its annual Show on 24th November, with a £200 gate. The JOURNAL printed a good history of the First Agricultural Show. |
| The new fire station was opened on Wednesday afternoon, 30th November, built by D & W MacCubbin Bros. for £1,400. A Banquet was held later. The 6 returned soldiers and firemen made capital speeches. Dave and Walter MacCubbin, R. Farrer, A. Morrow, Les Davidson, and F. Grubb. (A history of the Fire Brigade was published 6th December.) |

| Bishop Cranswick laid the Foundation Stone of the new Church of England on Saturday, 3rd December. |
| The Traralgon Band which had continued to play throughout the year, played at Morwell on Sunday, 4th December, as well as in Franklin Street, Traralgon, on Christmas Eve. |
| The official opening of the telephone line to Traralgon South took place 5th December. |
